Default Rear defrost Turn off immediately

Just started doing this today. I have a Scab lariat with solid rear window. When I push defrost button the light comes on for exactly 1 second, whether I hold button in or push it quickly, it goes right out. Anyone have any experience with this?

Good news: I have the same problem on 2008 F150 Lariat Crew Cab. Bad news: I can't find the answer on forums. Seems you need a sliding back window to have an apparent fix. Did you ever solve the problem Wood?
