Default Rear Block Options

Alright so I'm going to be installing the 2.5" leveling kit and after I received the kit I'm worried that the front will be higher slightly. What are the stock size blocks in my 06 XLT and I'm is there a way to buy blocks slightly bigger to give me half an inch to an inch in the rear without purchasing new u-bolts?

Thanks for the help guys.

technically you should replace suspension hardware when you remove it(u bolts) and such. Have you actually measured from level ground to the cryer of your wheel well front and back to get the exact difference front to back? And then ordered the level? If so you should have no worries. If your 06 XLT is 4x2 you don't have blocks. I believe the stock 4x4 blocks were/are 1.5" blocks. I'm sure you could order 2" blocks and new u bolts. I wouldn't take the u bolts off and not replace them though. Just me.

Thanks for the reply Johnny,

My truck is 4x4. It was 100% my fault for not measuring first. I did measure after and the front seemed around 2 inchs less then the back. I guess I can install the Leveling kit and if its too high in the front, purchase a block kit. What are the cheapest options around? There is this shackle kit as well?

Shake kit : http://www.ebay.ca/itm/221384124879?...84.m1423.l2649

thats right! Totally forgot about the 1" lift shackle. Have heard reports about only getting a 1/2" from the 1" lift shackle too. Shackles should only be around $30-$40 if you look around on eBay.

Never Re-Use U bolts!! If you have a 4wd your blocks are 1.5". Get a 2 or 2.5 inch block to even it out off eBay and it'll come with all your hardware for under $100. I recommend cast iron blocks over billet or "carbon steel." I did a 2" block on my 2wd for $80 with hardware and did the install myself, took 30 minutes.

I'm pretty sure 4X4 04-08s have 2" blocks. I believe 09+ have 1.5"
