Default real difference between a 4wd and 2wd

OK, guys I've searched on here and googled it but have found different answers to the question of whats really different between the 4wd and 2wd front suspension. Reason being I have a 2wd truck with 3in leveling spacers in it atm and would like to remove them and install a 6in rough country lift kit. I only see them being sold for 4wd trucks though and don't understand whats so different that I couldn't use it on my 2wd

Spindles/Knuckle for one thing. The 2WD spindle/Knuckle has pressed in "spindles" where the 4WD uses a bolt on hub. The RC kit should have a taller knuckle to keep the geometry correct and cannot be used on a 2WD because of the "Hub" vs Pressed in spindle shaft.

What you are most likely looking for is a Bracket lift that is specific to a 2WD, I know Skyjacker has one as well as Fabtec I think.
