Default Reaching 100k miles, Programer Q

Is it to late to get a programmer, SCT. Troyer tune probably ... Just don't want put harm to components

Seems to shift weird some times

5.4 "plugs changed"
Gibson cat back
BBK throttle body 80mm
S&b CAI. "lid is back on"

CAI btw just ordered a new filter for it to try, had "oiled" one in for 60k miles. Cleaned re oiled, etc.... But s&b just came out with a high flow disposable, no oil, no question on sensors messing up.. Or am I over thinking the situation

How much did you pay for the bbk throttle body? What gains have you noticed with it? From what I understand these 5.4 3v run lean so a programmer is a safe thing to do considering your mods ( intake, throttle body), just try it so you can at least adjust shift points. I'm personally going with the edge cs and a couple tunes from PHP in the future. You will probably wake that truck right up with a tuner.... Don't forget to key on key off 3 times and slowly depress the accelerator to the floor then quickly release it to collaborate WOT with your electronic pedal and throttle body.

As long as you're confident there are not mechanical issues, it's never too late to get a programmer. Tuning done right will extend the life of several components, not harm them. You're not over thinking the air filter either, look at the filtration and flow PDF S&B has on their website. You're getting a dry filter that does a better filtering job than the oiled one.

Thanks guys... Throttle body was 399$. Definitely a little more snappy... No problems yet at all.. I'm thinking my upkeep is helping everything along .. Plus down the road I'm getting an Eco boost. Ill just keep the programmer and get new tunes
