Default Re Gearing Limited slip diff

Hey guys im just wondering what happens when you re gear the limited slip on the fx4 up to a 4.56 gear ratio for example. im basically wondering if by re-gearing you can end up with an open diff??? or if you need to get special gears for the limited slip?

nope the gears bolt to the LS diferential. the ring and pinion have nothing to do with it being LS or open. if it is LS it will be LS with a gear change, however you could change the diferental but that is different parts. more like changing the tire (gear) on a wheel (shiny part) have the same wheel different rubber.
