Default Re-gear

I have just order a Rancho 4 inch lift and plan to put 35's on the truck. I think I will regear to a 4.10

What size rear ends are in the 2006 Ford FX4 I have no clue and would like to price the Motive Gears to see what it is going to cost me in parts and labor.

Going to have my level kit and 33's up for sale soon!!

I would go 4.56's gear ratio. The difference from 3.55 to 4.10 is nowhere near enough for the weight and height of 35" tires. Even more so if you have the factory 3.73 option. I have had many lifted trucks. I only made this mistake once though. Alot of money to select the wrong ratio....

If it has 12 bolts on it its a 9.75, I think the 8.8 has 10 (give or take a few, but I know its less than 12). Some guys been trying to sell some 9.75" 4.89 Motive Gears on Ebay for $125 for a few months. I always think about how crazy it would be to get them but I'm sure going 60 on the freeway at 3,000 rpms would kinda blow.

Y not keep they level kit and maybe clear 36s 0r 37s and get 4:88 gears

If not get 4:56

4:10 Is pretty much the same as Ur 3:73s for those tires

Talk to wayne at diffsonly, he will set you up with a good deal on both sets of axles with master install kits for the price most places quote you just the ring & pinion.

IF you're planning on sticking with 35's go with 4.56 gears they will be great on the highway and so so city, if you want 37's one day go with 4.88s, the truck will be great in the city and so so highway
