Default Rattling/clinking noise

I am posting for my buddy he has a 08 King Ranch and when he drives and gives it a little bit of throttle it sounds like a heatshield is loose. Took it to the shop and it's not the heat shield they said the noise goes away when it's in four-wheel-drive and the shop said they don't know what it is. any help would be appreciated!

I notice mine as well when im in a drive thru or next to a car or something. I have yet to figure out what it is. Almost sounds like rocks in a thick can and it doesnt do it when in idle or on the gas. Just when you pull forward a little and it happens on mine when i let off the gas.

That's the exact same sound he is having. Touch the gas and the rocks in the can start. Left off gone. Yesterday it seemed to get worse almost like a grind. Hoping to find an answer. If the shop figures it out before there is an answer on here I will post it
