Default Ram Air

Just wondering if anybody has this intake on their 5.4 f-150? If you like it and if you have to use a programmer after you install it.http://www.americantrucks.com/jlt-ram-air-notune.html

It appears to just be a big filter sitting on top of the engine.

I would suggest trying another option...

1. The engine will be sucking in heated air after passing through the radiator which is usually about 190F
2. There is no actual positive pressure gain. The engine will still only take in what vacuum it pulls.

So... if naturally aspirated is the way you'll feed the engine, then you're better off pulling air from a source other than the heated side of the radiator.

S&B / K&N / Volant / etc....

There's only one way to "RAM" air into an engine. Thats forced induction. Turbo or supercharge it.
