Default Radio Lights not working

I bought a 2007 F150 Lariat the other week, but noticed my radio control lights aren't working when I turn my lights on. All other console lights are working....climate controls, etc. However, the display does light up showing time and station. I also realized the volume and seek buttons on the steering wheel does not work, but the temp/fan and cruise control buttons do work. Could these issues be linked together with hopefully a simple fix rather than going to the dealer? Thanks.

I also have a 2007 lariat and about one month after I bought the truck, while at the dealership having some work done, the same exact thing you described happened. Well I spoke to the dealership about the issue and they said that the radio went bad and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately there is no easy fix to my knowledge. They initially did not want to cover it saying they had nothing to do with it. After enough arguing, they agreed to replace it. The first radio was out of a 2008 and the steering wheel controls would not work bc of a software issue. Finally they replaced it with another 2007 and the problem was solved.

Guess I will be heading to the dealer. Thanks for the info!
