Default quick tire size question

Hey there hello.
This is my first post. Just have a question on tire size. Any help would be great!
Okay here we go...
I'm a proud owner of a 07 f150 crew cab xlt 4x4, wonderful truck!
Ever sense I bought it a little over a year ago I have wanted to level it and put some custom wheels and bigger tires on it (who wouldn't). But it seemed like every time I have a little bit of "rat hole" money some thing always comes up! Damnit!
So... Things finally started work out. Got some 5100s to level it out. And recently bought some perfect good as new looking XD addict 18x9 with tpms and lugs for 600! .. Only issue I have is that they are the -12 offset witch I think are 4.5 backspacing? I really wanted the +18 offset so they would stay "tucked" but hey.. Gotta work with what I got!
So here's the question..
What tire size can I run with the 2inch leveling 5100s and the XDs with the -12 offset.
I really like the nitto trail graplers 295/70/18s but my local shop told me there's no way they would fit.
Any suggestions on what could work for me?
Thanks again!

295/70/18 is just over 34 inches, it may not fit because of the backspacing on the rims, those are gonna stick the tires out pretty far. 325/60/18 will fit, thats a 33x13 inch tire, its wide but ive seen this set-up on several vehicles.

But will that 1.something inches really make that much of a difference... Especially sense a 295 is so much thinner that. 325..... Anyone elshave an answer or suggestion.

I would remind your favorite shop that your about to drop $1500 on tires, and it would be in their best interest to test fit one of your fronts for you.

Remember the 1" on back spacing is going to have the same affect as a 2" difference in tire width (2" tire = 1" out on each side). The difference between a 295 and a 325 is only 1.2".

The trail grapplers have a pretty knobby sidewall IIRC, if they won't fit, a tire with a milder sidewall may in the same size.

Hey thanks a lot. I went with the 285/65/18 trail graplers. Looks great no rubbing at all. Now that I mounted these I see that I coulda made the 295s work but I really like the ratio for tire size and the wheelwells.
