Hello Everyone,
Quick question. If my VCT solenoid is stuck open would it have any effect on the idle if I unplugged it? I'm guessing if it is stuck even if it is unplugged it wouldn't be able to close correct? Thanks for any help in advance!

 

I have no idea, but I've read many posts where people have unplugged them and ran their truck for a few days without any problems until they got it replaced. Lots of info in the forums but I know it can be hard to find your solution and its time consuming to go through them all. Hopefully someone will chime in that's more knowledgeable.
