Default quick question for evo/gryphon

I'm changing out my hid kit tonight and installing a different one and was wondering if I need to unplug the programmer since I have to disconnect the battery. I know they tell you to if you need to jump the truck but wasn't sure if the same goes for just disconnecting

You don't have to but it never hurts to do so when working on electrical components. Just unplug it and re connect the battery, then plug the Gryphon back in with the key on.

Just as a precaution, and to make sure I don't unintentionally brain fart a real screw up... I always return it to stock and unplug it before messing with electric or plugging in a code reader. I know the gryphon has a code reader, but it didnt pull anything when I had a misfire.
