So i recieved my sct sf3 programmer and i updated it before i plugged it into my truck. I plugged it into my truck and i got an error 1018 strategy read error. i phoned sct to get the programmer rebooted and updated and after all that im still getting the error. technician advised me to get my pcm flashed. so i called ford they told me they did it on a vehicle last week with mods on it and they said the vehicle was going into shut down mode i dont know what the full details are into it but he said they may not do it due to that disaster. So i called another ford dealership and they said they would do it... what should i do?

 

Your truck been tuned before? You the original owner?

 

I am not the original owner and it has never been tuned to my knowledge. I bought it from a dealership

 

Check your fuses... If the cigarette lighter isn't working generally the diag port won't work either, Although still could be another fuse.
