Default Quick HID Question B4 Install Today

Had a guy give me some HID lights that are Hi & Lo beam HIDS. I was told they were taken off a crown vic. Will they fit my 2006 f150? Is there any chance of blowing some shiz up...... Definitely don't want to fry anything...except for the gator tail in my freezer.

Any help is greatly appreciated as always!

As long as the hid bulbs are an h13 bulb then you should be good with no problems. If they are different then the kit will not hook up with your factory harness.

ya your going to have to go on google and check what a crown Vic bulb number is. Like he said above me H13 is what our headlight bulbs are. You can't blow anything up haha it just won't fit into the groves of your headlight. Don't be rammy!

Yup! Bulbs didn't fit. I've been wanting to put HID's in my truck, but it's hunting season and I haven't been on this forum for months (this forum has been known to eat holes in my wallet, so I better get off soon). But the guy just literally gave them to me, and they are both Hi/Lo lights. He said they sell connectors at the flea market so that they'll fit. Might look into that. Yall know anything about the connectors he's talking about?

Thanks for the replies

It's not worth dorking with the wrong kit. You can buy the correct dual beam HID kit on Ebay for less than $60. (See link below ...) When you go to pay for your purchase there's a spot to send the seller a message. Tell him you need the H13 bulb kit in the 5000k temperature color. That will give you the whitest light. Above 5000k they start to get blue and purple, like the rice burners use.

See what I mean about putting holes in my wallet?

Thanks for the link man. I'm sure I'll end up getting those same exact one's from the link you gave me. I mean.....it is Christmas time. What's spending just a little more money on my truck going to do?

I would suggest buying the bulbs from here rather than eBay or such.
