Quick HID question
Okay guys, gonna be ordering my HIDs today from ddmtuning. ive done my homework and wanted to double check that im understanding this correctly. i am going to go with 55w 6000k in the heads and 35w 5000k in the fogs. from my understanding from the their website, the 55w will wash out some color and make the 6000k look like the 5000k... am i getting this right? im just OCD when it comes down to stuff like this, got to make sure everything matches lol. it will drive me crazy if one is white and one is blueish. so any confirmation or suggestions would be great!! my goal is to have nice bright white lights. cause im pretty sure i dont wnat to go the blue light route lol.

I put in OEM HID projectors and thought they had a bluish tint until I put 5000k fogs in. Now my oem hids look white and the fogs are obviously bluish, now I gotta order some 4300k fogs so they match, I'm OCD like that as well.

Too Loud? Too Bad!
I've been told by a few sources (including a car audio/mod shop) that if possible, go with 35w as it will be easier on your electrical system. Supposedly, there isn't a brightness difference in a conventional application between 35 and 55. I've also been told that 55w systems are better for bigger trucks, rigs, etc. I could be wrong, but that's my $.02.

yea from my understanding, if you want blueish, you could go with 35w 6000k or even like 55w 8000k. according to ddmtuning, if you go with 55w, they actually wash out some of the color, hence the 6000k should look like 5000k and 8000k should look like 35w 6000k and etc.

So what's the point? lol
If it were my credit card/bank account that paid for your kit, I would return the 55w kit and get a 35w kit. Don't open the box any more than necessary, other than to verify which is which. The ballasts should indicate the wattage if you can't tell otherwise. Simply explain to them you got the wrong one and you wanted a 35w kit. I think they're cheaper too, no?
