Default Quick exhaust question.

Hey guys, so I might be soon purchasing an MBRP cool dual catback exhaust on my truck soon. Thing is... will it fit? Description says it's a 3 inch system, but I'm unsure if my truck's exhaust diameter is 2.5 or 3 inches. Does anyone know since this is a catback system will this just fit up to my stock exhaust? Dont have headers, factory cats and headers.

Mines an 06 and it has the 2 1/2" pipes.
I can't see why they would've changed it an judging by your fog lights yours is either the same year as mine or newer. So I'm pretty sure yours would be 2 1/2" as well.
A quick google search never hurt anyone either though.

Yeah. I just did a quick search just to make sure ad it's 2 1/2". Maybe they also bought new cats with bigger outlets?

Hold up. I'm wrong. it's 3" out of the cat then 2 1/2" from the muffler back

Well thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering why I kept seeing 3 inch exhaust catbacks and I went, that's not right... But now it all makes sense. Exhaust system I'm getting is an MBRP XP series, might go with either the rear exit or side exit, both look very agressive, kinda like the look of the rear exit better.

Really? I love the side exit.
But it's more personal preference.
I went with Flowmaster because they send the pipes for both side and rear exit.

I do like them for that but I'm sorta short on cash, and actually just looked at the exhaust piping, you're sure it's 3 inches? Sure as hell looked like 2.5... and as far as I know, everyone sells 3 inch systems...

Not sure if you have a hitch but I was planning on ordering the cool duals straight out the back but I have a hidden hitch which is a much different design than a stock hitch so I called MBRP for the distance between tail pipes and they won't clear my hitch. Looks like I'll be getting the single stock side outlet. No offence to anyone but I've never been a fan of the dual side exits, as said it's definitely a personal choice though!! Also my 06 has 2.5" piping but the kits intermediate pipe is flared so it adapts from the 2.5" up to 3" to the muffler. The cool dual kits tail pipes are only 2.5" where the single is 3". Never had an MBRP truck exhaust but I have an MBRP can on my sled and it sounds wicked!
