Default Questions About Lifting

What's up guys, few questions I got here that I can't seem definate answers for in others threads. Yes I did use the "search" tool. Lol so anyways I have an 05 Lariat that is leveled with 35s. I have the 2.5" level and 35x12.50 Toyo mt with 20x9 XD addicts with -12mm offset. I am looking into putting a 6" RCX or a 6" Zone on the truck. Now onto some questions

1) If I did put either of these lifts on here, could I use the same tires and wheels?

2) Would my tires and wheels still stick out of the fenders the same way they do now with the lift?

3) How much will the truck feel "lifted" compared to the 2.5" level that I have now?.

4) I know that I can't stack my level on top of a rough country, but what are some other lifts that I could still use my level? Will the zone allow to me stack ?

5) Was also wondering if someone could share a pic of them standing next to their 6" lifted F-150 so I can get a thought of how high compared to where I stand at my truck now. As of now, my chest is right above the door handles. So if someone could share a pic of them standing next to their truck. That'd be cool.

There's no reason you couldn't use the same wheel and tires and the suspension lift wouldn't affect how much they stick out but stacking a 6 on a 2.5 may just make ur 35s look small but that'll give u an excuse to go w bigger rubber in the future. And most leveling kits and body lifts should all be able to stack w a 6 inch suspension or any for that matter. You'll notice a difference for about the first week driving it then ull get used to it and it'll be like whipping any other car/truck around.

So my wheels won't be too small? I thought for a 6" lift you had to have a 20x12 wheel with like -44 offset? So my tires and wheels I have now will work? I can just throw some lift on there? As to the zone lift, can you stack the level or no?

You'd be fine... I think those lifts have a 5" BS requirement... To stack your level you'd just remove that big *** strut spacer and throw your level on some blistein struts and you're good to go.. You may experience a stiffer ride or you may not... I did not but I have Rancho 9000's adjustable shocks..

So, would this be a good idea? Keep my tires and wheels I have now, then get the 6" Zone lift kit and then when that gets installed take off the level? Then once I get the money buy the Bilsteins for the 4"-6" lift? Then on e I put on the Bilsteins, put them on the 6" setting and then throw the level back on?

I dont know how deep your pockets is but buying new rim/tires wouldnt be an option.. Thats $3800 GONE... This is what i'd do.. Take that level you have and trade it for a 2" level.. Get the blisteins and have everything installed ONCE.. Getting te lift installed then taking it apart again to add blisteins and level will cost plus the alignment

Would running a 2" over a 2.5" be better for the cv angles I'm guessing lol? But is the zone a good lift to go with for the setup I am trying to run? And do the Bilsteins sit insides the factory strut/coil spring? Do the Bilsteins take the place of a strut spacer?

Blisteins are struts for the front(you add your spring to it) the rear are just shocks..

I think a 2.5-3" would be to much being that the zone and RCX are drop down kits..(i could be wrong) Both kits are of good quality are reputable... RCX is made by BDS.. in my area i see more Zone kits but i like the way RCX,BDS, Rancho and a few others follow the conture of the frame...

Well of that's the case couldn't I just save some money and buy the Fabtech Basic 2 kit and get the Bilstein shocks in there with it?

Not familiar with the Fabtech.. Correction to my last post.. Keep the 2.5 level and adjust the blisteins to the correct height...
