Has anyone here installed aftermarket cams in their F-150, or does the aftermarket make any? (4.6 - 2008) I'd love to, if they are available. Also, is the Edge programmer decent? I just got rid of my 06 and got an 08 F-150, 4.6L. The 06 was an RCO but I'm buying this one, so I'm doing what I want to it! So far I've only done true dual exhaust, and I've got the AFE air intake on the way. I'm in no way new to the world of mods or performance, just new to modding an F-150, I've spent plenty of time and money on my other truck. Also, if anyone would like to get rid of their factory sub, I'd be interested depending on price. Thanks.

Never heard of anybody changing to any performance cams in these trucks. As far as the Edge question, I have one that I set on level 2 using 87 octane gas that does everything I bought it for, mainly adjusting my speedo for the taller tires I have. Custom tunes for the Edge are even better. I may get mine re-badged as a Gryphon at a later date. Truck get's 16-18 mpg on my daily 100 mile round trip to work, I'm well satisfied with my Edge so far.

 

Cool, I was thinking along the lines of the Edge. I've got an 01 Dodge that I'm going with an SCT tuner for, but thats a whole different story. As far as my F-150 goes, I probably won't do TOO much to it for a while, probably just stick with the exhaust, cold air kit, and a programmer. I do want to go with 3.73 or 4.10 down the road and upgrade to LSD, but thats probably last on the list. Thanks for your input on the Edge!

 

Hey 08SC i have a 12 alpine type r with a ported box fo about $220 its sits on my back seat and i want to put 2 shallow mounts under my seat so theres nothing wrong with it i just want more room and man this thing really slams.
