Default Question on my differential

Hi everyone,
Rear wheels off on the air, gear at neutral. When I turn one wheel forward, the other wheel stays still (not moving at all). When I turn it backward, the other wheel turns forward. Is it normal?
Thanks.

Ya, it's normal. Open differentials will take the path of least resistance when vehicle is in neutral.

Thanks.

The way it is, when the car is at neutral, I can roll forward but can't roll backward since 1 rear wheel will go against the other rear wheel? ... Must be different when the drive shaft turns the gear instead of my hands turning 1 wheel.

Ya, if you put it in park, the wheels would spin in opposite directions no matter which way you spun them. It just so happens that your truck finds spinning the driveshaft in neutral to be of lesser resistance than spinning the other wheel.
