Default Question about tires

I got a 2005 ford f150 lariat. Im trying to get a new tires for my truck and i was wonder a few different thing.

1. Has anyone ever put a tire like nitto terra grappler under c ply/under 6ply. How did it hold up, how long did it last?

2.Has anyone put the same tire as in question one but as a 10ply/ e ply. How did it ride and did it last good amount time?

3. What type tire do yall recommanded? Only in a all terrian tire or a rugged terrian?

Thank u for the time.

I have the Terra grappler size 285 70 17 in a 10 ply and they've been great. I run about 50 psi and I have about 27,000 miles on them. I'm sure they'll last at least 40,000-45,000 miles.
I'm happy with them but my next tire will be something a little more aggressive

thanks yall, do u know if its worth going with the 10 ply or the other 4 to 6 ply as i have been told by the ppl at tire rack and a buddys tire shop. the reason im scared to get the 4 to 6 ply is i pull motocross trailer alot and sometimes other trail without a heavy load with it. i also wont load the bed down so the weight wont be that bad.
