I'm running this exact setup on my 2005 FX4. Bilstiens all around, and 2.5" HBS. I've left the Bilsteins at 0" because after reading a lot on these forums (which is great btw), I didn't want my ride being any stiffer. It doesn't help that I'm running 10-ply tires so my ride isn't very smooth. I didn't try the other way so I couldn't tell you if it's rougher but I'm quite happy with the setup I have now.

The only complaint I have with the 2.5" HBS is my upper control arms are rubbing the coil. Many guys have discussed this before and are living with it. It hasn't seemed to cause me any issues.

With the 2.5" front levelling, my back was lower so I ended up going with 3" readylift blocks in the back after.
