Default Question about Keys

I was wondering if it is possible to change the keys on the 07 F150 to the key type with the remote built into the key they used in 08?

If I have one cut and programmed would it work or are they different types of systems?

Yes, they work. Lots of people on here use cheap keys with built in remote that they get off ebay. I like to call them VW keys as I think VW started the trend with the flip keys.

You will need two keys to be able to program the chip inside of the key. And sometimes the you need to take the key apart to cut it properly as it doesn't fit in the machine. Not a big deal though.

Perfect! I am going to have one cut and then program it myself. Just want to cut down on what's in my pocket! Is there basically one type of key? I don't want to end up with a car key when I needed a truck key. Thanks.
