Default question about headlights

i just bought some new 8500 XENON HEADLIGHTS off of ebay for my 07 f150 xlt and the guy on there said i wouldnt need any extra wiring kits or anything for the better performance its just a "plug and play" (so he called it) i was just wondering if anyone knew any different i watched a video on youtube and a guy had installed a balace , let me know please thank you

Yeah u just have to mount a ballast (it acts as a power source like an amplifer) somewhere near the lights then everything should just plug up and your good to go.

are you sure you bought an actual HID setup or did you just get a "HID look" set of bulbs. usually they wont call them xenon bulbs if they are actual HID. how much did you pay for them?

the full name they give for the head lights is, 8500k xenon headlights h13 ford f150, f250 05-07 so im not sure if its the real hid or not , im not to fimiliar with them. and i got them for real cheap so ya they probably arent the real ones 30 bucks all said and done

it sounds like you may have got a true HID conversion kit by the name, but if it doesnt say HID converstion kit, and you dont see any type of ballast in the pictures you may have gotten just the look-a-like. if you did get a true HID kit and as long as you didnt get a bi-xenon kit they are plug and play, you are going to have to put the ballast somewhere yes, but I find that double sided sticky tapes works great.

as far as the price goes for H13s you are talking $60 for a xenon kit, and around $130-$160 for a bi-xenon kit

$30 sound a bit low

it sounds like it but might be the regular headlights but im waitin 4 my bi-xenon kit i got the 5000k 4 that pure white look and i only ended up paying $140 so i think i got a good deal wen the shops try and charge ya $400
