Default Question about the axle

My son has a 2004 2wd f-150 xlt (new body style) and is planning on getting a 6in pro comp stage 1 lift with 35's. My axle is a 9 which means 3.55 non-limited slip. I don't go mudding or off-road at all except when I go down the dirt road to the hunting camp. I don't tow or haul anything either. I plan on getting a edge programmer to help turn the 35's easier but should i still re-gear or do ya'll think i will be fine??

Yeah the motor matters. I'd say a 5.4 with 3.55's is acceptable, but right at the top of it's ability range. If it's a 4.6 with 35's, I'd go to a 4.10, just for drivability.

That said, most 4.6's had the 8.8 rear, so I'd say you have a 5.4. Double check that though.
