put new rack in my 2008 f-150 4x4,took it to be aligned & said they can't do it ?
they said they couldn't do it because of a bad wheel bearing, does that make sense?? I can see if it was a lower ball joint but not a wheel bearing. any suggestions?? I'll do the work my self so parts are not a problem.

Makes sense to me. There is probably some play in the wheel because of the bad bearing.

Put yourself into the "liability" position of the shop you are asking to perform the alignment. You want it aligned, they do it, and then you have a tire wear abnormally. Even if they write down on paper that you had suspension or wheel issues, if they do the alignment, they are accepting the fact that it would not affect their alignment procedure.
I'm siding with the shop on this one. Get the fault fixed. If you suspect the bearing is fine, get a second opinion from another shop.
