Default psyching for the plug change

I've been psyching my self for several weeks now to get the spark plug replacement done in my FX4. I have the tools coming, should be here next week. Now the plugs to buy...I've looked at past posts, everyone has a thought on the subject. The factory manual says to use pzt-2f plugs. What are the ones I should use? The dealer wants $25.00 a piece for the plugs. Yikes! Is there something better than Fords plugs?

$25 a plug 0_0
$326 0_0
why not just get some plugs from an auto parts store and do it yourself?

You can get the OEM plugs here for 7.96 each!
http://www.gaudinford.com/parts

Little tricky to find, put in year make model
Then select Electrical, then the first ignition (there are two ignitions you can select), click spark plugs, it will come up for a 4.2L, Look on the menu on the left half way down click 5.4L and you should see the right plugs for your truck.

Hope this helps.

I just tackled this on my 05 FX4 and it really wasn't all that bad! You will want to follow the TSB procedure exactly and take your time as well as a little finger crossing!

I paid $18 each for the OEM plugs at my dealer and had all eight replaced in just under 2 hours without a single one breaking. FYI my truck had 76,000 miles on it and I used seafoam to de-carbonize it twice before I started.

yall are both 2v 5.4 yall didnt have the issues yall had some but not the 2 piece plug design, and the 3v 5.4 is more particular its like the motorcraft plugs the best from what ive heard, would hate to buy cheap plugs then have to replace with the OEM cuz they wouldnt run right do it right the first time motorcraft all the way
