Default Pro's and con's levelling kit

07 fx4 want to get the 3" levelling kit. Lifts front 3" rear 1.5". I have heard may not be a great idea as it puts strain on the front end? Should I stick with the 2" kit that is more popular? Would prefer the 3" if there's no problem. Please advise.

I'd go with the 2 1/2" kit. The 3 inch may cause trouble with the cv angles although some people run the 3" with no problem's. I've been running a 2 1/2" kit for almost 5 yrs with no problem's.

yeah and mostlikely the 3" kit is way more than you need to level it which means you would need to do an add-a-leaf or a bigger block in the rear to make it sit right!! ive done the 2.5" hell bent steel and even that gave me a tad taller in the front so a perfect level kit would prob be the 2" or if they had a 2-1/4" kit!!

pros:
bigger tires
handles just like stock
eassy to install
looks great
pretty cheap mod for a more agressive look

cons:
when loaded truck looks like its overloaded (can be fixed by adding a leaf or a slightly bigger block in the rear)
you need to spend money on an alighnment and if you choose bigger tires/rims

i have only had the level kit for afew weeks so the con list is still not to long but im sure the couple i listed is the worst of it lol!!

heres mine with the 2.5" hbs
