Default Projectors

I'm about to order a set of projector heads and projector fogs. My father brought up a point that has me wondering. It's probably just dumb and I don't know what I'm talking about. Do I need HID's to run projectors? I'll probably switch to them eventually but I'd like to go ahead and get the heads and fogs.

You can run "normal" bulbs in an aftermarket projector. If they are H1 you usually cant convert to HID.
I bought the Spyder headlights that use a 9006, and an HID is a nice upgrade. Decent cutoff good light.
If they use H1, the bulb is too short to convert to HID, the HID will phyiscally fit, but the cutoff will be non existant and light will look horrible.
This is due to the hump in the HID bulb where the actuall light is formed is at a different spot and the projector cant work.

Im horrible at explaining things, but if you google it, you will understand :p

I just ordered Spyder Headlights and Fog Lights. So I'll have to buy 9006 bulbs for them to fit? Will the fogs need the 9006 as well? Also, do you have a picture with your headlights on? I'm interested in how the hibeams work and how they look.
