Default programmer wear and tear

Ive heard that we can expect the life of our truck to last about two hundred thousand miles. I have a Diablo programmer set to 91 performance tune with a couple other settings to match my car, what kinda engine life could I expect if I keep running this tune?

A programmer won't change the longevity of an engine.

It's a toss up in my opinion, as long as it's not tuned really extreme, it shouldn't be too bad, After installing the Edge Evolution Programmer, which firmed up shifts, My transmission went out 8k miles later. But I can't fully blame it on the programmer, bought the truck with 90k, and it showed signs of being towed with, trailer brake controller screw holes, scratched reciever. Also from the looks of it the fluid was never changed in that 90k miles. That didn't concern me because we ran our 2000 and 2003 F150 to 100k before ever servicing the transmission, and they are both pushing 200k now with no problems. But none the less, it went out.

However I still run the programmer, just with milder settings.

X2

If you're really worried, a good custom tune will be even safer than the stock tune.
