Wow that's a big difference! Could you feel a big difference between the stock edge and after you got the custom tunes? Also I have a 4.6L so would I still gain the same amount of HP? Last did you have to send your edge to them?

I sure did feel a unbelievable difference. I have a 4.6 also, and you have to send your edge to PHP but after you send it and get it back they can write you different tunes and send them to you over the internet instead of sending it back to them.

If you have the regular evo you gotta dl pegasus software from php website and thats how you turn it into a gryphon and dl your custom tune...if you have a cs or cts then they upload your file to fusion and you update and load the tune that way BUT they stopped doing tunes for the cs and cts because of fusion issues in december so yea.

No. You need a USB to USB mini cable. They can be bought for cheap at most stores.

I just got custom tunes for my edge evo this month from PHP and they really are a big improvement from the stock edge tunes. All you do is fill out an order form on their website and input as much info as you can about your truck (vin #, tire size, gear ratio, exhaust, intake, etc.) and then you choose up to 3 settings (either performance or tow and you choose the octane level). I chose and 87 tow, 87 perf, and 93 perf. You will need to download their software off their website (they call it pegasus) and then plug in your evo to your computer using a usb cable (First set your truck back to stock!!!) and then you update it which will convert it to a gryphon. You can use it as a gryphon while you wait for your tunes. The tunes take about 3 weeks to be ready (they email you) and then you plug it in again and choose internet update this time and it will install the custom tunes! They send you directions once you order tunes for it. My truck used to run really rough and i thought i needed new coils but the tunes actually fixed the issue completely so I'd say they already paid for themselves! It must've been running lean between my chip, intake, and exhaust or something. I would totally recommend getting the custom tunes!

I bought my Edge Evo used and the guy before me complained about how his truck would idle real low and it didn't make that much of a difference. Before I hooked it up to my truck, I went and downloaded the Pegasus software from their website (for free) and did an update on the edge evo. It had a big update that took a half hour to get finalized. I then installed it in the truck and ran on a level 2 for quite some time. I love it. I got some bigger tires and went into the settings and adjusted for that, and that made a world of difference on shift points. So worth it. I then did a search on this forum of what others are doing, and changed some of the settings for my level 2, and that made a huge difference as well. I am still playing with those settings. I've always been interested in custom tunes as well, but for now this thing is awesome!!!

I just went through this myself less than 2 weeks ago. The only difference is that I went with their Gryphon with stock/canned tunes before getting the custom tunes. My custom tunes were done in nothing flat and ready to be uploaded/downloaded and used. I couldn't be happier with the help and all around customer service from PHP.

Are you talking about just updating the EVO? If so, then go here. http://www.edgeproducts.com/product_updates.php

If you want the PHP custom tunes, then use their website ----http://www.gopowerhungry.com/_ordering_info.shtml
