Default problems starting

Lately I have been trouble starting. Its not all the time but once in a while I have to turn the ignition like 5 time before it will start. If i do remote start it starts right up. I check the battery and its fine. Could it be the battery inside of the key?

There isn't a battery in the key. Have you tried a different key?

They probably have the original to tell the PATS that the right key is there. My guess then is that there's a wiring connection problem in that circuit. I have my original key in the ring that goes around the lock cylinder, (taken off and tied up under the steering column), and the keys I use are standard keys. It only had one key when I bought it and I didn't want to pay to have new ones programmed.
