Default Problems shifting into gear

Guys, I have a problem that when I start my truck and go to shift from park to either reverse or drive the shifter will not move even with the brake pedal fully engaged. It is a 2004 F-150 4x4 with the 5.4L. Also I don't have the ability to set the cruise.

Could it be a problem with a switch for the brake pedal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't have it in front of me but check the owners manual, there is a fix to it in there, well a work around for both column shift and center.
