Default Problem when the engine is cold

Hey guys!

New to the forum. I have an 06, F150, 5.4, screw w/ about 105,000. I have searched but could not find much related to my problem.

I usually start up, wait a couple of minutes and take off. Did so about a month ago, had to stop at a light within 5 minutes of start up and could feel her miss/cut out pretty bad. I popped it in neutral, but still felt the miss. So I went into ford, and diagnostic came back as low compression on #8. They checked again once the engine became warm, and everything checked out ok. My plugs and boots were changed about 2 months ago if that's what your thinking. Ford replaced the plug, boot, and added some Seafoam to the fuel tank.

I still get a miss if she isn't somewhat warm. This only happens when the engine is cold and at I'm at stop, runs like a champ otherwise. The ford mechanic mentioned the valves, but I'm hoping that someone might have some insight before getting into the engine...

Most likely you have COP that is starting to fail. Have it scanned to see if there are any stored codes.

Thanks Kev. It gives a P0308 code. The COP did test normal.
