Default Problem sliding back transmission

I'm replacing my broken flexplate in my 06 XLT. I currently have everything removed except I decided to leave the transfer case on. I also bought 2 6 inch bolts to make lining everything up easier. I have the tranny back about 3 inches but I cant get it to go back any further. I'm not using a tranny jack, I have a floor jack under the tranny and one under the transfer case. Any suggestions on what to do to get it back further? Maybe jack the engine up a bit? Thanks.

If you have transmission pushed back 3 inches , are you hitting fuel tank with the transfer case . Or is the tranny hitting crossmember and exhaust. You might need to take transfer case off to get yourself more room to move transmission back more . Using floor jacks is a tough way to go . I used a motorcycle jack when I replaced my transmission .

Also if transfer case is still attached . There is a bracket that holds your fuel lines attached to a transfer case bolt. Watch you don't bend or crimp your fuel lines , they run up above your transmission.
