I'd try a few spots of the tar-like belt dressing placed a few inches apart around the belt. It cannot hurt anything and is far too sticky to get slung off the belt. I have seen it work wonders on high tension, high hp industrial belts.

I have an 04 with the 5.4L and a super chips programer and under WOT my belt slips as well. Replaced the tensioner with factory part as well as the belt all rollers and pulleys. Still has a chirp. So I changed the shift firmness from the max setting to 18psi and it still shifts hard just not hard enough to slip the belt.

I've replaced my tensioner, idler pulley, tried a Gates belt, now have a Gatorback, Thoroughly cleaned all of my pulleys between belt changes, still squeals when shifting from 1st to 2nd if I'm on a level road. If I'm going uphill, the rear tires chirp instead of the belt - wish it would do that every time.

Oh, and forget belt dressing, man. When that gunk builds-up on your pulleys, it'll just make the matter worse.

I would not stress it, my truck does the same thing only at WOT. Still running original belt and have been tuned for 6 years now, and have never had any other issues.

I didn't copy anything. Replied to different unresolved posts. Did it involve the same issue, but with different people involved? Yeah. Hoping that maybe someone had found a solution. A community working together can solve a problem that multiple people are having faster than one person working alone. And I know that I've posted things on message boards, completely forgotten about them after solving the problem involved without posting my findings until I've received an e-mail about someone new coming across an old post and inquiring. That is, if you want the long answer.
