Any idea on what and where that yellow float came from??

I believe it is in there from factory. After install they knock it into the pan or something.

It's the dipstick plug in the transmission before they add the dipstick tube. Just means the pan has never been removed, or at least not sure why anyone would leave it there.

The white plug in the pan is actually the only normal thing in that pic. It shouldn't be a surprise, now that all fluids except engine are "lifetime," or that some people don't realize they need to change the fluid, or that I've even heard people claim there's no reason to and used some one-shot anecdote to support the claim.

When my transmission went it still had that in the pan, and it had a shift kit installed before I owned it.

If the trans has been acting funny for a bit you will more than likely need the thicker Valve body plate, and may also need the servo bores machined and sleeved.

As mentioned several times before. It's the dipstick plug that's placed on the transmission before they install the dipstick.
