Default Pro Comp Steering Stabilizer on 2wd

So after riding around on 35's for almost a yr, I decided to get a steering kit. All the kits for 2wd are supposed to be used w/ 6" lift kits, so I had to do some mod/fab. Turned out good. Handles better; steering is stiff but responsive.

Ok, so you bought a kit too? Then there should be brackets that mount near the outer frame rail. The driver side actually goes right under the steering pump. On those (and I'll get pics this evening of everything including these) I cut off the corners to allow them to fit better. If you look in the 2nd pic, on top of the Tie rod, there is the other bracket that the shock mounts to. This was the most modded piece out of everything, for both sides. It is secured to the tie rod by 2 u-bolts, washers, Lwasher, & nut.

Now this is where and why I had to do some fab/mods. W/ a lift kit, the LCA is obviously lower. But w/ that being done, it allows for the shock to be properly mounted directly underneath the tierod. I couldn't do this as the shock sat on the LCA. I figured it would snap the first few bumps I went over. The units that go on the tie rod were long, to allow for the drop that you gain in the lift kits. I cut off about 2" from the top, then redrilled a hole for the shock to mount to. Then, instead of mounting this bracket under the tie rod facing down, I mounted it on top facing up, giving me the angle of the shock in the picture. This allowed for clearance on both the LCA and the strut, yet still gaining the benefit of the stabilizer kit. 150miles in 2 days and nothing loose, everything workin nice.

Again, I'll get pics after work.

I think it set me back about $100 from 4wp. Then I sprayed everything black (shocks were white). And this is the Fabtech kit. Found the sticker in an old box from moving.

I bot a kit along time ago when i first started getting vibrations in my steering wheel(3-4months ago)Before i learned i looked at my tires and noticed a huge bulge in one of them causing the vibration, lol. But hell i know they will still come in handy and will add benefit to my truck and tires.Just never got around to it due to another large defense contract we got at work and had no time.

Ya def get those pics of where exactly your mounted them.I just printed out what you told me you did also.I will do this in the next 2 weeks.

Let me know if these make sense. They "ssD" are the driver's side. "ssP" is passenger obviously. They are High-Res so you should be able to zoom in some. The mounts on the Tie-rod are supposed to be pointing down, not up. This cant be down w/out the LCA lowered. Let me know if ya need anything else or got more questions.
