Hiya all. I have a 07/07 F150 FX4. I want to install a scanner in my truck (Uniden BCT15X). It is going to fit nicely in the center control console. I took out the push button pocket under the cig lighter/temp controls, it's going there. I want to use the trailer brake control prewired harness as a power supply. I'm pretty sure I have located it under the area where the pedals lead up. Just above the knees. First photo. When I took the pocket out, there is another available harness. Second picture. Any idea what that is meant for an if it is an option for power? I'd like to know because I am going shopping for the counterpart connectors with wire and it would help to know the correct names. As a bonus question, there was also a plastic adaptor (third pic) taped to the main wire bundle obviously there in case it was needed. There is no wire in it at all. What is that for? Thanks for help here.
