Default Power windows wont work

I has an 05 screw lariat that the windows wont work. None of the switches work from any door. Sun roof and rear slider DO work. I've searched here and I have done the cleaning of the switches to no avail. Checked the large fuse thingy in the fuse box and its good, im not getting any voltage from the drivers side window control plug though??? When I press a window button the mirror defrost button illuminates and on the dash the door ajar light goes out?? Someone please HELP!!!

BINGO FOUND IT!!! After a day and a half jacking on and off with it I found a broken ground wire in the door jam boot. Put a temporary spice in it and she works. Im going to replace the ground as soon as I get the right wire and everything, anyone know why a wire that thick could break like that, looked like it was pinched but no other wires showed any signs of stress???

Those were some seriously weird symptoms!
Thicker wire is not as flexible as thinner wire. I knew a lot of guys with window controller problems on Grand Cherokees. They were always caused by broken wires in the hinge area.

I am experiencing the exact same thing right now. I am terrible with electrical. Where would I find the ground wire and how did you temporarily repair it? Did you ever get an actual replacement wire? If so, where did you get it from?

I'm glad you reminded me of that!! I need to get it replaced next month with the dreaded plug replacement!! It's in the lower part of the door jam, its inside the large rubber wrapped bundle of wires going from your door to the cab. From what I remember its the largest solid black wire in that bundle. I did notreplace it I found the split and crimp on quick ddisconnect (it was all I had at the time). Going to have some warranty stuff done at my 100000 tune up and need to put that on the list!
