I've been having power window issues - it won't go up and down. Lately, it seems the truck needs to be driven to get the power to the windows so they can operate. So I drove around and I was able to roll the front windows down (weather's beautiful here). Now, I cannot get it back up AT ALL - even while driving around.
I thought - maybe the fuse went bad. Looked it up online and it appears it's #401 30amp breaker (see below) that controls the power windows. Maybe that one has gone bad. It also controls power rear sliding window so I checked to see if rear power sliding window works, and it did. So that tells me it's not the breaker nor power issue? The lock & unlock button works as well as the mirror control **** (including power folding).

What could be the issue?
Have you checked wires going from door into cab (which are stressed when door opens/closes)?
also, pulling up cover under drivers door (when closed) where wires run along floor?
(looking for broken wires)
might also Check grounds behind kick panels by driver and passenger feet.
You can get it back up by jumping two wires on the master window switch.
First pull up the plastic switch panel. Next remove the light blue with black stripe (LB/BK) and the tan with light blue stripe (TN/LB) wires from the master window switch. Then and connect a jumper wire between them. First though I'd check the LB/BK wire for 12v and the TN/LB wire for ground.
Update: I wasn't able to tackle this problem until today (I was out of town last week). Before I left town, I was able to get the door panel off to see if I could quickly find the culprit. No luck but I immediately suspected something else...
At one point, this truck had aftermarket alarm system (Viper) but I didn't realize how much aftermarket wiring was involved - there was a TON. I recall this system had the ability to control the windows up & down via remote. I do have some wiring knowledge but not enough to dissect the aftermarket wiring from factory wiring so I had mobile mechanic come out to help me remove all the aftermarket stuff. No way I would've done what he did so I'm glad he was able to help me out.
After the mechanic was able to remove them, the windows worked again. So that was the issue.
Time to put the truck back together tomorrow.
This is after he got most of it out.
