Default Power window problem

New to forum so first thing, Hello, glad to be a member. Now the problem, 2006 F150 passenger side window will move forward when rolling up and kinda jams making it difficult to move. I can grab the top of the window and move it back and it starts moving just fine. Is there some kind of guides that may be wore out? What do I need to replace to fix this? TIA

I think you need to replace the motor and guide tracks. You may be able to take it apart and see if the side that's not working is off track or broken. I just had my 06 passenger side out and cleaned the motor but still have a wiring problem.

Yup. Its about time to replace the motor and guides. It is run by cable and it is binding up. The cable will eventually snap which will cause your window to slam down inside the door, possibly causing more cost to the problem. There are a couple of write ups on this forum about replacing it. If you're mechanically inclined, you can do the work yourself saving money on labor.

And I ordered replacement from rockauto.com for a lot cheaper than the Ford stealership wanted for identical pieces.

Just put a new motor, rail and cable assembly in mine. Easy fix.
