Have an 05 Lariat 5.4 4x4, recently had very bad whine from p/s. Can't hear it at idle or with engine rev, only gets loud with load and above 15mph. Replaced pump still the same, checked cooler and lines for restrictions. It will become a growling noise I can feel in the steering wheel with suspension travel, espically if I jack up the front to rotate tires but then will return to whine after driving a few miles. Also at low speeds {15-30mph} will quiet when turning left and louder when turning right. Anyone experince this or know someone who has? I'm thinking it's my rack and pinion. Any suggestions or help greatly appreciated.
