So I have been doing a lot of reading on different programmers lately. I currently have an Edge Evolution, but because Ive started doing mods to my truck I figure I should start looking for a custom tune. Alot of people seem to swear by the SCT Xcal3 however I cant seem to find anywhere to buy it online and theres no local dealers up here according to SCTs website. Ive also been considering a Gryphon CS with a custom tune from PHP. I would like something that I could possibly hook up to my laptop via USB and run some type of performance monitoring or data logging software. So i guess Im just looking for peoples opinions on which of the two is better and why... and if someone could also point me in the right direction where I could purchase an XCal3 online.

Lastly, do both of these programmers still come with canned tunes until you get a custom tune on it?

I second that.. Gryphon will upgrade your edge programmer and set you up with whatever custom tunes you choose.
