Default Power programmers??

M thinking about getting a power chip for my 2004 f150 5.4 4x4, but I see alot of people saying things about them messing other stuff up. Is a chip a good idea? If so what is the best kind for the best price, and what all else will I have to do to make it right.

Thanks in advance for advice and info

So pretty much they are hard on the tranny, which isn't s good thing bc the tranny in these trucks are weak anyways.

the thing you have to realize about a chip is you are adding more HP and TQ, and how you use that HP and TQ is going to affect things like your Tranny and Engine if you put it in and do not abuse the truck everything should be fine, i put in a chip from Power Hungry Performance for two reasons, towing and FE i love it
