Default Possible Newbie!

I see threads on the new pricing. Not much on preowned.

I am currently driving a GM and can't wait to make the switch. Have had many issues over the last 3 years and know the dealer a little too well! I'm glad it's only a lease and I have 3 payments left.

I've been looking at 07 and 08's with low mileage. Pricing around here in the NJ/NY area are a bit high. I see people are paying 20% below MSRP on new. What is everyone paying on preowned? I'm figuring about 10-12% below asking price. Is that close?

Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

well we need to know a little more on what your looking for such as super crew super cab standard cab what engine, color, options. stuff like that. im pretty sure if you walk into the dealer and tell them exactly what you want they will try to find it. if they dont have it just walk away and wait for what you want and the price for what you want.

I just got my new 08 super crew 6.5' bed XLT 4X4 with the 4.6 engine in December and I paid $35000 out the door with a extended warranty.
When I got it It had 12 miles on it and I put most of them on doing a test drive.

This may not be a great deal but I don't think it was a real bad deal.

I just saw the same truck as I bought on the used lot with 35000 miles on it for $28000.

around here the price of used is going up fast because no one is buying new anymore, so the demand is going up thus the price is as well

I was looking at an FX4 super crew 5.4L - 5.5' bed w/leather. Found a few nice ones online but they're in Texas. I'm willing to travel a bit but not that far.

I know the dealer game. I've leased 3 cars for my business and have always felt like I was getting a good deal.

The more info you have when you walk into the dealer the better deal you will get.

You will get a better deal and of course a much better interest rate if you buy new. No less than 10k off or walk.

I paid 19,500 for a 2008 XLT 4X4 4.6 w/20,000 miles. The miles were a little high, but the price was right.
