Better to be pissed OFF than pissed ON

I never understood guys that blow by me on the freeway at 80Mph pulling a 37ft camper.

Take it easy. The river can wait an extra fifteen minutes, your safety and others' cannot.
I've towed all kinds of varying weights with this truck. From little lawn mowers, to industrial grinders. Once you start exceeding 3k or so, it gets... different

I never said I wanted to drive around with the boat running 90. I only asked the question to make sure nothing was wrong that I could look into to make the towing alittle easier. Obviously getting people to actually say no thats about normal or take a look at these things is to damn complicated. Instead we would rather bash. I normally dont run over 70 towing and thats depending on the trailer and the load. Thanks for proving theres no help here just a bunch of ****ing keyboard cowboys wanting to bash.

Yeehaw.
Seriously... Your truck is old and the 5.4 is notorious for being a pig. Keep fluids changed, make sure all maintenance items are squared away and take it easy. Don't cause unnecessary strain by trying to get there quick. You could regear, add trans coolers, e fans, etc. But I get the feeling you don't wanna spend 3 grand to haul a boat. Od off when speeds permit

Custom tuner maybe? Change your shift points and adjust timing? I've seen Edge EVOs on this site go for $200 shipped.

Scanner with enhanced datastream will tell you your fluid temperatures in your transmission. . that's critical info for me to know when i am damaging something.
