Hey guys I went out today and attempted to install the pop and lock kit I got for christmas. I got every in place and wired up and it didn't work. I disconnected the actuator and connected it to a 9 volt battery and it engaged. Pulled out my volt meter and I'm not getting current. The doors and everything are still locking so I'm assuming I just have the wrong wires. I had seen a post earlier discussing which wires they used but I can't seem to find it now. I have a 2005 FX4, does anyone know which wires im supposed to splice into? Directions say pink with black stripe and pink with red/orange stripe. Any help would be great.

 

 

The instructions were correct with mine. Be sure to go to the correct side of the truck per the instructions. The colors are different side to side. Also from year to year.
If that doesn't work, go to their website and see if those are different.

 

Where were you accessing your wires? I managed to go through my front passenger step rail. If you are able to get your hands on a multimeter, that will make the process much easier for you. I don't think anybody here will be able to tell you exactly which wires, seems to be different for soo many.

The instructions I downloaded say drivers side sill plate:
b. 2004 – 2007 locate the Pink/with Black stripe wire and the Pink(red)/with orange stripe wire.
