Default plug change

Hey guys, my 04 has just over 80k on it and I'm wanting to change the plugs before I move to phoenix in this winter. I asked my uncle if he could help me change the plugs and he said you need a special tool to get to the rear bank? He said he would help me if it wasnt for that special tool. The reason he said that is because he over heard a guy talking about how big of a pain it was changing the rear bank....not exactly sure though. Is their a special tool? or should i tell him we are good to go.

Click on the link in my signature, it will walk you through the plug change. Only special tool you might need is if any of the plugs break but you can get to all the plugs easily otherwise.

The plug changes in these trucks are a pain but it isn't anything too serious. If you get the Lisle tool I will warn you now do not fully depress the pusher part of the assembly until you get a good understanding of how far the ceramic must be pushed down for the extractor to work. If you do fully depress the pusher (like Lisle recommends) it can blow out the end of the plug leaving chunks of small ceramic in the cylinder that is a pain to get out. Unfortunately I learned that from experience. All in all it's not a bad job to do.

Lisle tool, Techron, and Kreen. It isn't really that hard and haven't broke one yet.
