Does anyone know exactly what size torx it is?

It's probably a T10 or T12. It's a fairly common size and is not tamper resistant. Just a normal run of the mill set of torx screw drivers will have the right one.

I thought it was a T-27. I'm getting ready to change mine out in a few min and I will post the exact size.

My tork are not marked. But it looks like a 20 or 27.

I just got done changing mine and it did not fix my phaser knock.

uhhh ohhh... We got a guy that the solenoid didnt fix... Now the contraversy begins.

Do you have a lifter tick? Or an actual knock? Im really interested to hearing what fixes your problems. Could be phasers though. How many km on your truck

I replaced one side on mine last night and it didn't help but a mechanic has been into my heads before so I prolly have other issues. It was worth a try anyways!

bummer... was hoping i didnt hear these non-fixes but i guess we all knew it wouldnt solve everyone's problem.

Well I have the same noise but it prolly is due to my phasers seeing as they have almost 202k on them!

What would be VERY useful is if we could get a video of the sound your truck has/had. That way we could all hear it and see if we can hear any noticeable difference. The tick I had was similar to a phaser, but was not. Can you both post a vid of what it sounded like? Did it differ from the way mine sounded a few pages back?
