Default Please help!!!

Od. Went out replaced od.servo with new one, gaskets , filter , fluid, thought pushed the band over and seem to grab together. Started fine, put in gear and loud shaken clunk. Drove a bit and od was still gone, went home parked., about 30 min later started truck and it shut down all power had to jump start then realized now I have no gears, could I have not pushed enough to grab servo and it came back out? Or is my tranny now gone ??? Fingers crossed it's not that. Any help would be appreciated.

Was the snap ring broken when you took out the old one? Those pieces can float around and kill the rest of the tranny.

Did you get enough trans fluid in?

I'm not any expert on trans, hopefully others will chime in.

If the OD snap ring exploded (like they do) and you didn't fish all of the pieces out, your trans could've been destroyed..
That's worst case though. Did you perform proper torque sequence on the valve body? Did the hardwire electrical connector break upon removal from body? Did you replace gaskets on the valve body itself? If you did, did you check to make sure all 7 check ***** were still in place? Did you comb through the exposed valve body channels for things that shouldn't be there?

Did any code come out? Might be time to take it to a tranny shop. My guess is that the trans is toast....
